我国3G 牌照发放处于悬而未决的状态,连带制约了相关厂商的发展进度。然而,随着近日政策逐渐明朗,3G牌照有望于2006年发放,市场又开始兴起了一波3G 热。TI(德州仪器)公司为了实现3G 的低成本部署,于日前宣布推出一款集成了高性能 DSP、优化基站软件以及各种开发工具的微微基站解决方案。TI 无线架构市场开发经理 Zatil Hamid 表示,微微基站是小型的低功耗蜂窝网络节点,可扩展3G 无线网络的覆盖范围,并能实现高速数据存取。TI 该款无线基础设施解决方案为基站制造商与服务供应商提供了高度的灵活性,使他们能够更快速地向市场推出独树一帜的产品,并提供先进的无线网络设备。通过充分利用高性能 DSP 1GHz TMS320TCI6482以及优化的 W-CDMA 软件库,基础设施 OEM 厂商能够设计出小型基站解决方案,从而大幅降低微微基站解决方案的总体成本。例如,只需采用两颗 TCI6482 DSP 就能同时支持32个用户的微微基站,而此前的解决方案则要复杂得多。这种小型基站适用于大学校园、地铁、机场以及办公

TI (TI) today announced the launch of a pico base station solution that integrates high-performance DSPs, optimized base station software, and development tools for low-cost deployment of 3G. Zatil Hamid, market development manager for TI’s wireless architecture, said the pico base station is a small, low-power cellular network node that extends the reach of 3G wireless networks and enables high-speed data access. TI’s wireless infrastructure solutions provide base station manufacturers and service providers a high degree of flexibility to bring their products to market faster and provide advanced wireless networking equipment. By capitalizing on the high-performance DSP 1GHz TMS320TCI6482 and the optimized W-CDMA software library, infrastructure OEMs can design small base station solutions that dramatically reduce the overall cost of a pico base station solution. For example, with only two TCI6482 DSPs, it is possible to support femto base stations for 32 users at the same time, whereas previous solutions were far more complex.
