The Japan-U.S. Joint Working Group has recently convened a working meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to review the current status of research on mutagenesis sister chromatid exchange (SCE) of environmental mutagens and carcinogens in Japan and the United States. The meeting was held for two days and included the SCE formation mechanism and SCE as an application to determine environmental mutagenesis and carcinogenic processes.
