北京恭王府后花园大戏楼周围的几重院落,回廊环绕,环境典雅。就在这里,为描述京剧艺术孕育、形成、成熟、发展的历史,徽班进京200周年纪念委员会主办的《纪念徽班进京200周年,振兴京剧展览》,用一批珍贵的戏曲图片和实物资料,组成了一串简洁精炼的画廊,为纪念徽班进京200周年的庆祝活动,增添了一层浓重的文化色彩。丰富充实重点突出这次展览是以中国艺术研究院戏曲研究所所藏的资料为基础,又向各地有关部门和名家征集、借用了部分图片和实物。共展出图片资料800余幅,实物约300余件。该展览以资料丰富翔实、突出重点、条理清晰为原则,分为三个部分全面地展示出京剧的历史进程。
