日本的两个空间活动组织——东京大学航宇研究所和宇宙开发事业团——已制定了一项研制运载火箭及卫星的具体近期计划,以期在八十年代中期成为世界上仅次于苏、美的第三个空间大国。截至1981年2月为止,日本已发射了二十三颗卫星,其中成功的有十九颗,失败四颗。在十九颗中,东大航宇所十一颗,宇宙开发事业团八颗。失败的四颗各家两颗。目前法国虽有一个雄心勃勃的近期和远期空间计划,但限于经济实力不足,力不从心,只能在欧洲空间局成员国通力
Japan’s two space activities organizations, the Institute of Space Studies at the University of Tokyo and the Space Development Agency, have developed a specific near-term plan for the development of launch vehicles and satellites with a view to becoming the world’s second-largest economy after the Soviet Union America’s third space power.
