International Defense Exhibition held every two years. The Ninth Expo was held in 1996 in Piraeus, a port town in southern Athens, Greece. This is an international exhibition mainly featuring the Army's weapons. In particular, many military light weapons are on display for the first time. For example, for the first time in Russia, the KLIN submachine gun, the new Drakonov sniper rifle, the underwater assault rifle, the underwater pistol and the muffler light weapons system were publicly displayed for the first time. For the first time, Armenia displayed new assault rifles and sniper rifles, Czech Republic debuted the next generation of assault rifles and EBO, a Greek military light weapons manufacturer, showed off a new type of revolving sniper rifle.
