邓初民先生是我国老一辈马克思主义政治学家,他是我国最早构建马克思主义政治学学科和理论体系的学者。他早在1928年出版的《政治科学大纲》是我国近现代第一步系统的马克思主义政治学研究专著,在我国政治学史上有着极其重要的地位。该书的写作,有特定的历史背景,有特殊的历史语境,这一点在研读这本书时是不能加以忽视的。至今我们仍然可以通过该书的内容、行文习惯等方面,见出其中反映出的历史语境和历史背景。在二十世纪二十年的马克思主义是否适用于中国实际的大论战中,正如同时期郭沫若的《中国古代社会研究》将马克思主义基本理论和研究方法运用于我国历史学研究的意义一样,《政治科学大纲》的历史意义在于其最早奠定了中国马克思主义政治学的理论体系,树立了一面至今不倒的旗帜。
Mr. Deng Chumin is an elder generation of Marxist political scientists in China.
