中共中央政治局委员、中华全国总工会主席李建国在中国工会十六大报告中指出,“推动健全社会主义协商民主制度,推进协商民主向广泛、多层、制度化发展,健全以职工代表大会为基本形式的企事业单位民主管理制度,继续推行厂务公开制度、职工董事职工监事制度,推动完善基层民主制度,落实职工的知情权、参与权、表达权、监督权”。适应社会建设新要求,发挥工会组织作为枢纽型组织的作用,组织和代表职工积极参与加强和创新社会管理,切实维护职工队伍和社会稳定。这是新时代对工会工作提出的新要求。
