Recent studies have shown that Schistosoma mansoni adult glycolipids extract can be recognized by serum-specific IgG antibodies from both Man and Egyptian schistosomiasis, suggesting that these glycolipids may play a positive role in the immune response to schistosomes. To understand the immune response to Schistosoma japonicum in patients with schistosomiasis glycolipids and to elucidate the role of antibodies against these glycolipids in protective immune responses, the authors examined the effects of reinfection on 2-year post-infection in schistosomiasis patients and 2 weeks after praziquantel treatment Susceptible and resistant patient serum-specific antibodies.
