邓小平同志经常告诫我们:搞改革、开放,要注意防止和克服“左”的和右的干扰。“左”的干扰是来自习惯势力和僵化思想,右的干扰就是搞资产阶级自由化,全盘西化,照搬西方民主。近年来,小平同志更一再地讲,要警惕和反对别有用心的人,“打着拥护开放、改革的旗帜,想把中国引导到搞资本主义”。小平同志实际上是提出了改革开放中还存在两种方向——搞资本主义和搞社会主义——的斗争,并把坚持改革的社会主义方向的重大课题提到人们的面前。
Comrade Deng Xiaoping often warned us that to engage in reform and opening up, we must pay attention to preventing and overcoming the “leftist” and right interference. The interference from “Left ” comes from the habitual forces and the rigid thinking. The right interference is to engage in bourgeois liberalization, to completely Westernize and copy Western democracy. In recent years, Comrade Xiaoping said more time and again that we must guard against and oppose ulterior motives. “We want to support China in the direction of capitalism through its banner of advocating openness and reform.” In fact, Comrade Xiaoping proposed that there still exist two kinds of directions in the course of reform and opening up: capitalism and socialism; and we should put before the people a major issue in the socialist orientation that insists on reform.
