聊城市,既是国家的优质棉生产基地和商品棉出口基地,又是大蒜集中产区,蒜棉间作套种已经形成规模。不过,过去习惯于蒜套春棉,造成二者共生期长,棉花迟发晚熟,经济效益不理想,也影响了棉花收后栽植大蒜的适宜季节。近年来加强了这方面的研究探索,改套春棉为套夏棉,较好地解决了上述问题,取得了大蒜亩收入1700～2000元、棉花1000元以上的良好效益,并摸索出一套科学的栽培管理模式。
