苏联早已使用地球化学勘探鈾矿。最近美国地球化学家在美国原子能委員会和美国地質測量局的协助下也試驗成功了。他們利用这个方法代替了盖革計数器,在华盛頓州东部發現了鈷矿。
The Soviet Union has long used geochemical exploration of uranium ore. Recently, US geochemists have also successfully tested with the assistance of the United States Atomic Energy Commission and the United States Geological Survey. They used this method instead of the Geiger counter and discovered cobalt ore in eastern Washington.
