光阴似箭。转眼之间,以太网已经度过了30周年。1973年,施乐PARC Bob Metcalfe博士在内部文件中描绘出以太网协议,此后,以太网的发展有如星火燎原,出现在一间间办公室,一栋栋楼宇,又占领了一个个园区,目前,开始向电信公网发展。城域以太网论坛(MEF)的成立,就是这一进军的标志。当前正在高速发展的中国及其IT业界,自然一直关注以太网的发展。11月19日,由《计算机世界》传媒集团、《网络世界》报社主办的中国网络论坛隆重召开。本次论坛围绕以太网技术,特别是城域以太网的发展趋势,展开了热烈的讨论。
