Idioms interpretation: spider silk, spider silk, along the filaments of the spider can find the spider’s whereabouts; horse trails, referring to the horse’s footprints, tracing along the traces of horseshoe, can determine the whereabouts of the horse. People often use “crazed” to metaphorically hint at clues and signs. Science Look at Gossamer: Most spiders are silk nets and sit on nets for insects. Spider silk netting can maintain viscosity for a long time, flying insects hit the net and doom escape. But spiders can come and go freely on their own networks and have no effect. This is because the spider’s extremities have oil glands that secrete a greasy substance. With such grease, it seems to be wearing an anti-adhesive boot. So, how is spider silk produced?
