党员的党性锻炼、党性修养和政党的正常运行、健康发展,离不开严肃的政治生活,有什么样的党内政治生活,就有什么样的党员干部作风,就有什么样的领导班子和党的组织。严肃的党内政治生活,是中国共产党先进性和纯洁性的重要表征,也是中国共产党区别于其他政党的显著标志。正因为如此,习近平总书记强调:“严肃党内政治生活是全面从严治党的基础。党要管党,首先要从党内政治生活管起;从严治党,首先要从党内政治生活严起。”
