洪山嘴中学以“成人、成才、成功”为培养学生的目标,致力于打造以“和雅”为主题的学校文化。该校探索实施的“和雅”课堂教学模式,得到不断的丰富和完善。学校先后荣获“湖北省放心食堂”、“襄阳市新课程改革实验工作先进单位”、“襄阳市教育科研先进单位”、“襄阳市后勤管理先进单位”、“襄阳市语文探究性学习课题研究先进单位”等荣誉称号。
