21世纪的企业生产运作管理过程充满了各种变数和挑战,主要表现为:企业外部经营环境的动荡性;顾客需求的不断变化;顾客对产品质量的要求不断提高;产品生命周期缩短;信息技术渗透到生产过程;更加残酷的价格竞争;企业自身生产周期时间长,不能满足顾客要求;生产柔性不足,过程浪费严重;仅注重局部效益,忽视整体产出。以上变化对企业管理者提出了新的要求,需要用新的理念来管理企业。
