天马镇第二中心小学创办于1940年。学校秉承“尚德、启智、砺行”的校训,坚持“以人为本”的办学理念,实行开放式民主化的人文管理,倡导“平等+个性”的教育,关注每位学生的发展。学校努力打造教育特色,屡创佳绩。学校先后获得全国红旗大队、全国第十届“七巧科技”系列活动示范学校、浙江省示范性小学、省乒乓球特色学校、衢州市名校、市教育创新奖等100多项荣誉。
