郑振铎是中国现代著名出版家一一正是他,从大量的自由来稿中选用了《灭亡》,把作者巴金推上文坛;他也是泰戈尔《新月集》最早的翻译者。另外,他还创作了大量的文学作品,散文《燕子》被选入小学课本。郑振铎有两大嗜好:书和酒。家中书多酒多。儿子尔康10岁寸,对父亲的酒充满好奇与渴望。一次,几个小表哥来家中玩,尔康趁家中无人,找来一个大杯子,把各种酒倒一点,倒满一杯,再从柜里偷出一点下酒菜,几个人跑到楼顶上,一人一口,浅斟慢饮起来。郑振铎晚上回家,发现酒和下酒菜都少了,便逐一询问家人。问到尔康,他支支吾吾,满面通红。郑振铎心里明白了,却不追问。
