北京市市政市容管理委员会相关部门负责人对外表示,因北京市垃圾增长太快,现有的13个垃圾处理填埋场将在四年内填满,所以,建新的垃圾处理设施和给垃圾减量的压力很大。据市政市容委设施处副处长魏攀明介绍,目前,北京每天产生垃圾1.8万吨,并且按照每年8%的速度在增长,预计到2015年,年产生垃圾总量将达到近1200万吨。如果不采取措施,北京的垃圾危机很快就要出现。
