华钢民用土建工程公司四工区工人由防泛转入生产后,开展了增产节约运动。在工地党、政、工的领导下,工人们和防泛斗争一样发挥了积极性、创造性,出勤率每天达到97%以上;在紧张的施工中,工人们开动脑筋找窍门,大力推广先进经验与先进工具,因此提高了工作效率,突破了中南定额。该工地一工长麻石工,十一月初开始做武昌钢校教室大楼外墙粉麻石,因为工人从来没有做过这活,每日每工只完成1.5M~2(中南劳动定额6M~2),他们想:‘要是完不成第四季度的工程任务,就会影响全公司计划不能完成’。因此,大家都表示决心要提前完成,实现计划保证。
