The Telecommunications Institute of Australia has studied portable earth terminal services that can use both the existing Australian satellite organization’s satellite systems for any two-way communications in any part of Australia. The research project of the institute is mainly satellite communications services provided by antennas less than 1m in diameter. Some of their results are: ① 0.3m terminal. It can be carried by one person and can be easily assembled within 15 minutes. The terminal can use ordinary car battery can send and receive. ② 0.3m portable earth terminal and 0.4m central terminal work together system.
