With the completion of the human genome, the functional characterization of its gene products becomes increasingly important.Inevitably, antibodies are perfect tools to monitor the general expression of proteins, its localization and modifications during different stages of the cell cycle.Here we discuss some of the key elements, which need to be accounted for during the design process of a modular pipeline and will present its establishment for the generation of human recombinant antibodies in high throughput.Further, a novel approach for obtaining human intrabodies specifically interfering with protein-protein interactions will be introduced.
