随着第一百张MERCURY唱片的发行,从中挑选20张最佳唱片现在是适当的时候了。我的选择显然有很大的主观成份,不可避免地会引起争议。在总体质量都很高的情况下,在这张表内不可能包括每个人所喜欢的唱片。我选择的准则是演奏(唱)和声音两者并重。表中没有一张是平平庸庸或枯燥无味的唱片。由于演奏也是一个重要准则,这20张唱片没有一张是仅凭音佳入选的。这些唱片按发行先后次序排列: (1) 德沃夏克:大提琴协奏曲;布鲁赫:希伯莱祷歌;柴可夫斯基:罗可可主题变奏曲Janos Starker(大提琴)Antal Dorati(指挥)MERCURY 432001-2
With the release of the 100th MERCURY, it is time to pick the best of 20 recordings. Obviously, my choice has a very big subjective element and will inevitably cause controversy. In the case of a high overall quality, it is not possible to include every album that everyone likes. The criterion I choose is to play (sing) and sound equally. None of the tables is mediocre or boring. Since playing is also an important guideline, none of the 20 albums was selected by sound alone.
