长山头农场建于1978年,地处“枸杞之乡”的中宁县城境内,辖区总面积10.2万亩,总人口9800多人,现有耕地3.8万亩,林地0.52万亩。农场主要种植有粮作物、牧草和枸杞等。位于农场境内的长山头天湖,景色秀美,总面积3.8万亩,其中水域面积1.3万亩,是宁夏境内最大,也是宁南山区原始湿地保存最完整的自然资源之一。景区内种有红柳、酸溜溜、芦苇、枸杞等83种自然植物,其中红柳、酸溜溜的连片面积为西北之最。自然形成的长山头天湖素有“宁南山区之碧玉”的美称。
Changshantou Farm was established in 1978 and is located in the territory of Zhongning County, where “Wolfberry Township” is located. The total area is 102,000 mu and the total population is 9,800. The existing farmland is 38,000 mu and the forest land is 0.52 million mu. The farm mainly grows grain crops, grass and wolfberry and so on. Located on the farmland, Changtian Tiandu Lake enjoys beautiful scenery with a total area of 38,000 mu, of which the water area is 13,000 mu. It is the largest one in Ningxia and one of the most complete natural resources preserved in primitive wetlands in the mountainous areas of southern Ningxia. The area is planted with tamarisk, sour, reeds, wolfberry and other 83 kinds of natural plants, including tamarisk, sour contiguous area of most of the northwest. Naturally formed Changshan Lake days known as “Ningnan mountain jasper ” reputation.
