According to the statistics released by the State Administration of Customs on the import and export of wood chips in China in 2013, some changes have occurred in both import and export as compared with the same period of 2012. The increase of the import volume of wood chips was larger, while the import value and the import volume increased more simultaneously. In the meantime, exports of wood chips remained unchanged from 2012 levels in total terms, while unit prices rose sharply, with a substantial increase of nearly 90% in export value.
