印度旅游对外宣传的口号是“不可思议的印度！”（Incredible India！），这个历史悠久的南亚国家，文盲众多却经济繁荣，宗教盛行却科技发达，左眼贫民窟，右眼大豪宅……这些“不可思议”使中国人对印度的态度总有种说不出的暧昧：好奇、怀疑、矛盾、向往。然而，但凡文化浓郁的国度都会令人蠢蠢欲动，身着沙丽的印度女人使得“千古绝唱”泰姬陵看上去无比柔美神秘，更何况这个古老的邻国还秉持着令全球酒店业钦佩的奢华宫殿酒店文化！终于，在这个热气腾腾的夏季，《酒店精品》读者俱乐部决定造访印度，去穿越文明古国的灵魂之路！
The slogan of the India tourism is "Incredible India！". This historical South Asian country is itself a paradox： numerous illiterates vs. economic prosperity， pervasive religion vs. advanced technology， slums vs. big houses……Incredible indeed！ Curiosity， suspicion， contradiction， yearning， Chinese are never lack of complicated emotions towards India. While it is no doubt that countries with rich culture always appeal to the new comers. For India， women in Saree beautifies the poetic Taj Mahal， the luxury palace hotels reinforce the unshakable status of this respectable neighbor country. 西起孟买，东到德里，中间行走在素有“国王的土地”之称的拉贾斯坦邦，一路之上，壮丽的宫殿、巍峨的城堡、华美的庙宇，令人心驰神往。“白色城市”乌代浦尔、“蓝色城市”焦特浦尔、“粉色城市”斋浦尔，鲜明地呈现了“拉邦”典型风貌：河流交错、黄沙遍野、华宫圣殿。在这几座城市的逗留也构成了我们此番最重要的体验内容——宫殿酒店。

英属殖民地的历史背景使印度封建王朝末期的土邦得以留存至今，虽现已无土邦割据，但当今印度社会依然留有王公贵族，他们在拉贾斯坦邦尤为集中。“拉邦”的大多数宫殿建于15到18世纪的莫卧儿王朝，这个伊斯兰教王朝对印度建筑艺术的深远影响福泽后世，众多伟大的宫殿城堡留存至今而成为重要的文化遗产。它们由世袭土邦主拥有，上世纪中叶印度脱离英国殖民独立之后，有些王公贵族便从中搬离，将其改做酒店委托给著名的泰姬酒店集团对外经营。

此次行程中，我们入住了四家泰姬旗下的宫殿酒店，与其说入住，不如说揭开了这个神秘国度的多层面纱中最为耀眼的一层，即对皇家宫殿文化与印度王公贵族生活方式的一次独特体验。作为酒店管理方，泰姬集团力求将这份宝贵的遗产长久保存，华贵的石材、高耸的穹顶、辽阔的庭院、精致的餐具、甚或王族的肖像……一点一滴地复现着这些宫殿曾经的荣耀，从空间到服务。

印度是多层面的：奇妙的种姓，浓郁的宗教，广袤的农田，未来的丝绸之路……但我们认为，最为炫彩的应该属于印度王族在历史中的特殊存在这一层面，精英阶层的喜好、品味、选择，而宫殿酒店则是围绕有关他们的一切折射到当今的最为浓郁的表达。
The Land of the King — Rajasthan
From Mumbai to Delhi， and Rajasthan — "Land of the King"along the way， majestic palaces， castles and temples warmly beckon. White City Udaipur， Blue City Jodhpur and Pink City Jaipur showcase an authentic Rajasthan， where rivers flow across each other， yellow sands crawl all over the ground and palaces show off grandeur. The fact that it once was marked British Colony explains why princely states of late Indian Dynasty remain untouched till now. Though separatist regime is already history， nobles are a phenomenon in India， especially for Rajasthan. Most palaces here date back to Mughal Dynasty， from 15th to 18th century， during which Islam claims religious dominance. Once India broke away from Britain in the middle of last century and regained independence， some nobles moved out， changed them into hotels and entrusted Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces with the operation.

The Oberoi Agra， which is a five-star hotel， helps establish the Oberoi as one of India’ s most prestigious hotel brands with its 600-meter distance from the Taj Mahal. The Oberoi Hotel Group doesn’ t have such a long history as the Taj Group of Hotels and Resorts， but the former has been well known for establishing luxury hotels at beautiful scenic spots for the past half century. Just like the Taj Mahal， the beauty of the Oberoi Agra never fades.
