羊蹄甲是一种美丽的庭园观赏树种。羊蹄甲属植物,约有570种,分布于热带和亚热带地区,我国有35种。 羊蹄甲之所以令人喜爱,首先是它的叶子先端两裂,好似羊蹄,形态奇特、新颖。其次,树形美观、大小适中、一般壮年树的高度在5米-8米,只有白花羊蹄甲的高度小一些。第三,它们多数终年绿叶婆娑、遮荫度好。不仅能作风景树、还能作遮荫树。其花形态美丽,花期之长也是其它花木种少有的。主要有下列品种:
