This essay elaborates from the economic point of view the purpose of U.S. imperialism of neocolonialism and deconstruction of the colonial nature of the United States toward the Philippines during the period of the Philippines’ rule of the United States, the evolution of U.S. tariffs on the Philippines and its trade policy and its background and influence.
