将“雌雄”引用于中药名称中能够反映多来源中药品种之间相互区别、相互联系的双重属性，是古代辩证唯物主义认识论在祖国医药学理论体系中的具体应用；雌雄的引用属历史范畴，容易产生误解和混淆是其弊端。对多来源中药的命名，不提倡引入“雌雄”，而应以科学的方法加以规范。
The citation of “male and female” in the names of Chinese medicine can reflect the dual nature of multi-source Chinese medicine varieties that are mutually distinct and interrelated. It is the specific application of ancient dialectical materialist epistemology in the theoretical system of the motherland’s medicine. The citation of male and female is a historical category. Misunderstandings and confusion can be misleading. The naming of multi-source Chinese medicines does not advocate the introduction of “male and female”, but should be regulated by scientific methods.
