测绘通报编辑委员会第三次扩大会议于今年四月二五日在国家测绘总局召开，参加会议的除测绘通报编辑委员外，还有国家测绘总局有关负责同志和部分通讯员同志，本刊编辑部全体向志也参加了这次会议。会议就改办半月刊、增聘编委、出版“测绘通报通讯”、聘请特约编辑、筹备国庆十周年特刊、加强发行工作及各部门如何供稿等问题进行了讨论，并作出了相应的决定。大家对如何开辟稿源问题，也广泛地交换了意见，肯定了计划组稿和自由来稿相结合的方针是完全正确的。关于刊物的中心问题应当密切地配合各个时期党的工作中心和业务的中心，既要把党在测绘战线上的方针政策反映到群众中去，也要把群众创造的东西反映出来，要做到三结合：领导和群众相结合，理论和实际相结合，政治和技术相结合，要千方百计地为发挥本刊的作用和提高本刊的质量而努力。
The 3rd Enlarged Meeting of the Editorial Committee of Surveying and Mapping was held on April 25 this year at the State Administration of Surveying and Mapping, in addition to the editorial board members of the State Bureau of Surveying and Mapping, as well as the responsible comrades and some correspondents of the State Administration of Surveying and Mapping, and the editorial department of this magazine To Chi also attended the meeting. The meeting discussed such issues as revamping the semi-monthly publication, recruiting editorial board members, publishing the “Newsletter of Surveying and Mapping”, inviting special editors, preparing special issues for the 10th anniversary of the National Day, strengthening the issuance work, and how various departments contributed to draft articles. The meeting also made corresponding decisions. Everyone has extensively exchanged views on how to open up the source of the draft and has affirmed that the principle of combining planning draft with free contributions is entirely correct. The central issue of publications should closely cooperate with the party’s work center and business center in each period. It is necessary to reflect the party’s principles and policies on the mapping front with the masses and reflect the things created by the masses. Combination of three: the combination of leadership and the masses, the combination of theory and practice, the combination of politics and technology, we must try our best to exert the role of this magazine and improve its quality.
