The Plessey AR320 is a long-range, three-dimensional air defense radar that operates in the E / F band. Transceiver uses a pen-shaped scanning beam that provides coverage over the entire elevation range within each transmitted pulse width during intra-pulse frequency sweeps. Combined with the vehicle’s secondary surveillance radar, it can output primary, secondary or primary and secondary combined data messages. An independent electronic jammer (ECM) receiver continuously monitors the ECM environment and provides data to the operator for automatic control of Electronic Jamming (ECCM) functions.
