为减轻钻探工人的劳动强度，野外钻机都普遍使用拧管机拧、卸钻杆。但是拧管机的上垫叉都是各局探矿厂自行加工制造的，大多数是在上垫叉上面装一个带弹簧的勾子，使其在迴转时确保垫叉不飞出来，但这种垫叉操作麻烦。于是我们对上垫叉进行了改进，既做到了操作方便，又确保安全生产。经过两年来的使用，很受工人的欢迎。
