In the construction of bored bored piles, two methods of expanding the pile legs have been widely used: the cutting hole wall and the non-cutting hole wall method. In order to improve the efficiency of hole expansion, the Dnepropetrovsk Institute of Construction and the Ukrainian Water Conservancy Professional Foundation have successfully developed a new type of pneumatic mechanical pile hole reamer. This reamer accomplishes the expansion of the foot of the pile hole by means of two pairs of symmetrically supporting the rotating plate to compact the soil.
