党的十七届四中全会是在国际形势继续发生深刻变化,我国处在进一步发展的重要战略机遇期召开的一次重要会议。全会审议通过了《中共中央关于加强和改进新形势下党的建设若干重大问题的决定》(以下简称《决定》)。

The Fourth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee is an important meeting that has undergone profound changes in the international situation and where China is in an important strategic opportunity for further development. The plenary session reviewed and adopted the Decision of the CPC Central Committee on Several Major Issues concerning Strengthening and Improving the Party Building under the New Situation (hereinafter referred to as the “Decision”).
