《边城》是沈从文在三十年代最具有代表性作品之一,集中体现了沈从文人生哲学与文学思想。自问世之初,学界与批评家们对此众说纷纭,褒贬不一。从自由主义视角的关照下,《边城》中翠翠以及文中人物的悲剧性作为一个表面结构,只是为了衬托作者所要表达的核心思想——自由主义。而《边城》本身作为一个复杂的文本,本身具有很强的隐喻性,作者的人生哲学与文学思想以及主流文学话语对其创作的影响在《边城》中都有所体现与暗示。
“Border Town” is one of the most representative works by Shen Congwen in the 1930s, which concentrated on Shen Congwen’s life philosophy and literature thought. Since its inception, academics and critics have divergent views on this, mixed. From the perspective of liberalism, Tracy in the Border Town and the tragedy of the characters in the text as a superficial structure merely set off the core idea that the author wants to express - liberalism. As a complex text, the “Border Town” itself has a strong metaphor. The author’s philosophy of life and literary thought as well as the impact of mainstream literary discourse on his writing are all reflected and implied in the “Border Town”.
