在独龙江畔的贡山独龙族怒族自治县,人们都亲切称赞丙中洛农业技术推广站站长、独龙族汉子马忠仁是人民的“好代表”。一是因为他是独龙族第一位全国人大代表二是因为他勤奋工作在依靠科学技术、发展农业生产的岗位上,帮群众除愚昧,为群众谋利益,深受群众爱戴。这是他与77岁的独龙族老人尼代亲切交谈,自1998年被选为第九届全国人大代表后,他已两次上北京,向党和政府汇报独龙江地区人民群众生产、生活的巨大变化,反映人们的愿望和要求。
