Osteoporosis is a disease that is affect millions of women throughout the world.Women suffering from this have a higher fracture risk, which could result in permanent disability or even death in certain cases.Given the severity of this, many osteoporotic drugs have been developed, such as bisphosphonates, estrogen, selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs), monoclonal antibodies, strontium salts and parathyroid hormone.However, there are many adverse effects attached to them as well as complex dosing regimens.Thus new compounds with lower or no adverse events have to be developed to properly tackle this growing problem.
