Purposes: To explore the role of CA V1 in glaucoma,and to study the cellular mechanism involved.Methods: It was an experimental study.Firstly,to explore whether CA V1 was involved in glaucoma,we initially investigated gene expression of CA V1 in ONC glaucoma model by Q-PCR..Then cav1 knockout mice and cav1-shRNA systems were utilized to exam the role of CAV1 in the development of glaucoma.Heidelberg Retina Tomograph3(HRT3)was used to detect the glaucomatous damage of optic nerve head,and the number of retinal ganglion cells in cavl-shRNA treated animals was quantified.
