With the rapid development of space science and technology in China,more and more domestic remote-sensing satellites were or will be launched into space.In order to reverse the current situation that the remote sensing data mainly depended on imports and promote the industrial applications of domestic satellite data,there is an urgent need for a predetermined framework for application of domestic remote sensing that will provide standardized,baseline standards or specifications to ensure consistency and conformity in products produced by various organizations from different domestic satellites in China.Despite their great importance,there is no published national standard or specification for remote sensing-based products in China.Over the past few years,our study group has taken some steps toward making some researches to develop standards or specifications related to remote sensing-based products funded by National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC),People’s Republic of China.
