　　Objective To investigate the safety and efficacy of open surgery with mesh-implantation for suprapubic hernmia.Methods A retrospective review of 17 consecutive patients with suprapubic hernias undergoing open surgery with mesh-implantation between January, 2005 and June, 2011 at 1 single center by 1 hernia surgery group was conducted.Open retrorectus Stoppa technique with Polypropylene mesh was performed for 11 patients and intraperitoneal onlay of mesh using a barrier mesh was performed for another 6 patients.
