Objective Explore the influence of heavyweight polypropylene mesh, lightweight polypropylene mesh and polyester mesh on the structure of vas deferens at the different time in rat models. Methods There were 60 male SD rats, (286±75) g in weight, (8.8±0.7) weeks old in the study. All the rats were divided into 4 groups according to random number table: control group, heavyweight polypropylene group (HWPP group),lightweight polypropylene group (LWPP group) and polyester group. The spermatic cord and surrounding blood vessels were dissected without using mesh in the control group, the spermatic cord and surrounding blood vessels were dissected and wrapped with corresponding mesh in the HWPP group, LWPP group and polyester group.
