The objectives of transgenic units worldwide are more or less the same: to produce geneticallymodified animals as important tools in biomedical research and to act as a repository for their further distribution.The service fees differ in detail between the labs.Despite quite different wagesin the countries all over the world, the costs for experienced staff represent a significant portionof the total cost of running a unit.
