Origin of the Early-Cretaceous granite batholith in the Tengchong block,southwestern Sanjiang Tethyan domain,plays a vital role in understanding the northward subduction process of Meso-tethys ocean beneath the Lhasa block along the Bangonghu-Nujiang suture.The granite batholith occurred in middle zone between the Bangonghu-Nujiang suture and Mogok metamorphic belt.We present new zircon U-Pb ages and geochemistry of the Early Cretaceous granite batholith in the Tengchong block.This granite is monzogranite,high-K calc-alkaline,peraluminous.
