Introduction : Left ventricular non-compaction(LVNC) is a cardiomyopathy characterised by excessive ventricular trabeculations and deep recesses extending from LV cavity to subendocardial surface with/without LV dysfunction. The triad of heart failure, arrhythmias and systemic embolic events are known sequelae.Given advances in, and increased availability of cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging(CMR), LVNC is increasingly diagnosed.Petersons CMR criteria uses a diastolic non-compacted(NC) to compacted(C) myocardial ratio> 2.3, with high diagnostic accuracy for diagnosing pathological LVNC.
