　　Grape ripe rot is an important disease in vineyards, responsible for mild to severe losses in grape production, and is also an important post harvest pathogen.This disease was studied in China and Colletotrichum species were found to be an important phytopathogen causing Grape ripe rot.Apart from morphology, multigene phylogenetic analysis, based on a six-gene dataset has been mainly used to identify species of Colletotrichum.
