  The healthy development of urban industry is essential for regional sustainability.It is extremely urgent to identify the key factors causing the unhealthy symptoms of urban industry and thus limiting the sustainable regional development,among which the assessment of urban industrial ecosystem health is a helpful tool.Focusing on the assessment of urban industrial ecosystem health,this paper conducted a literature review,starting with the progress in assessment of natural ecosystem health and urban ecosystem health.
