Powdery mildews have been common and severe in Shandong in recent years.There has also been an apparent broadening of the host range.We collected 161 powdery mildew samples from 78 host plant species in 73 genera from 39 families in different areas of Shandong in 2012.Representative samples were identified by morphological and phylogenetic analyses of the rDNA-ITS gene sequences.
