　　In course of investigating the diversity of gasteroid fungi, two new species of Vascellum have been encountered.Vascellum lahorensis and V.olivoflavus are morphoanatomically and phylogenetically distinct from other members of the genus and are previously undescribed.The former was collected in Punjab plains (Lahore) while the latter was found in mixed coniferous forests of the Himalayas.A comparison with other species of the genus is also provided.
