Resistance and recurrence of breast cancer following initial successful endocrine treatment is of major clinical concern.Screening for drug treatment efficacy in vitro requires reliable measurement of cell viability, proliferation, growth inhibition and death.This talk will describe, compare and highlight the limitations of commonly used proliferation assays for assessing clinical drug treatments specifically in breast cancer.
