Nrf2 activation could protect against cerebral ischemic oxidative jury1, 2.However, whether this contribution mediated the neuroprotective effect of sevoflurane preconditioning and this precise underlying mechanism of Nrf2 action still incompletely understood.Sevoflurane preconditioning for the mice was achieved by inhalation of 97％ 02 containing 2.5vol％ sevoflurane 1 h per day, for 5 days consecutively.The focal cerebral ischemic injury was induced by transient middle cerebral artery occlusion.
